We are currently inviting applications for the position of Secondary ELL Teacher, with openings available for August 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons that stimulate curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for learning.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that recognizes and nurtures individual strengths and diverse learning styles.
- Adapt teaching methods to cater to the varied needs of all students, including EAL, gifted learners, and those requiring extra support.
- Utilize technology and innovative strategies to enhance student learning and foster engagement.
- Effectively assess, document, and communicate student progress, using data to guide instruction and personalized support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum plans, resources, and assessments aligned with the IB framework.
- Contribute to the broader life of the school through participation in co-curricular activities, events, and community initiatives.
- Establish positive relationships with parents and the wider school community to promote student growth and wellbeing.
- Engage in continual professional learning and self-reflection to improve teaching practices.
- Uphold the values of GEMS and the IB Learner Profile in all aspects of school life.
