About This Role

Welcome to Harrow Shanghai! We are a distinguished international British curriculum school situated in one of the most vibrant cities in the world.

Our institution provides an independent British international education from Early Years through Upper Sixth, housed within a modern, purpose-built campus just 35 minutes from the city center. Shanghai is a dynamic city, full of life, energy, and opportunity.

Founded in September 2016, our school has quickly risen to become one of China's premier international educational establishments. Working at Harrow is a true pleasure; our students are engaged, ambitious, and hardworking, while their parents offer unwavering support and our staff form a dedicated and close-knit community. The bond within our community is exceptionally strong. Our pupils consistently excel both academically and in extracurricular activities, gaining admission to some of the world's most competitive universities, including Oxbridge. In the past four years, our Upper Sixth graduates have achieved an average of nearly 75% A*/A grades across all A Levels. Our IGCSE results are equally remarkable, reflecting the significant progress made by our younger students.

However, Harrow stands for much more than just excellent academic achievements. Our students shine in various fields, including music, drama, sports, and the arts, while also engaging in service to the local community.

The School is looking for a well-qualified and capable Science Teacher to start in August 2025. The successful candidate will teach students across different age groups and abilities, with most of our children being very proficient in Science. We are seeking teachers who possess a passion for teaching, the ability to challenge a diverse range of student abilities, and who genuinely enjoy working with children. We have a particular interest in candidates who can teach A Level Chemistry, along with the capability to teach IGCSE in any two of Biology, Chemistry, or Physics. We are especially eager to appoint teachers who have received training and possess experience from the UK, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, or the US.

Successful candidates can expect a competitive salary, a performance-related bonus, accommodation, medical and flight benefits, along with full tuition fee remission for up to two children.

Additionally, being part of the AISL Harrow Group of schools, which collaborates closely with Harrow London and is rapidly expanding, offers an excellent opportunity for career advancement and promotion. This is further enhanced by the newly established AISL Academy for Professional Learning and a variety of accredited courses available through our partnership with UCL.
