Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Coordinator to join our team for the upcoming academic year 2026–2027.

The role of the Pastoral Coordinator is essential in improving student behavior, wellbeing, and the daily operations of the school. This position reports to the Inclusion Lead and works closely with teachers and school leadership to promote a supportive learning atmosphere.

This is not a leadership role; it is ideal for someone with experience in student support, behavior management, or pastoral coordination, who is capable of effectively implementing school policies and routines.

Key Responsibilities

Cultivate a positive, safe, and disciplined environment across the school.

Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, communal spaces, and during transitions to ensure orderly conduct and adherence to school regulations.

Assist educators and school leaders in managing student behavior while fostering a culture of respect and accountability.

Communicate with parents and staff regarding behavioral issues as necessary.

Support school procedures such as attendance monitoring, break/lunch supervision, and class transitions.

Maintain detailed records of incidents and ensure appropriate follow-up in accordance with school policies.

Mentor and guide students to encourage positive behavior and active participation.

Qualifications and Experience


Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.


Experience working with children or in an educational environment is preferred.


Previous experience in a pastoral, student support, or behavior coordination role is beneficial.


Exceptional communication skills and the ability to forge strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.


Ability to remain calm and professional when addressing challenges in student behavior.


Knowledge of the British curriculum is desirable.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
