An exciting position has opened up for a dedicated and qualified professional to become a part of our dynamic school community. Collaborating with the Student Services Team, this role will bolster the support provided to our students, helping them to navigate obstacles to learning and reach their fullest potential.

Who are we?

Weatherhead High School is a large, oversubscribed girls’ comprehensive school for students aged 11 to 18, with approximately 1,525 students enrolled. We proudly offer a mixed Sixth Form that accommodates 250 students. Our Published Admission Number (PAN) is 254 for each year group from Year 7 to Year 11, making us the preferred school for girls in Wallasey and the nearby areas.

Our facilities rank among the finest in the country, featuring an exceptional building that enhances both teaching and learning, alongside our extensive extracurricular offerings. Students and teachers benefit from well-maintained classrooms, outstanding creative arts and sports facilities, and modern ICT resources. Conveniently located near the M53 and the Wallasey Tunnel, we are easily reachable from Liverpool and Cheshire via car or public transportation.

Our students are actively engaged and enthusiastic learners, showing warmth and eagerness about the opportunities available to them. Our dedicated staff are well-compensated for their hard work, contributing to a strong team spirit and a significant focus on professional development.

In our most recent inspection in November 2022, we were rated as an Ofsted ‘Good’ provider. Inspectors noted that “Weatherhead High School is a happy and friendly learning community. Pupils, students in the Sixth Form, and staff take pride in being part of this school. Relationships between staff and pupils are robust.”

Contract: Permanent, full-time, term-time only. Monday to Friday from 8:15 am to 4:30 pm (4:15 pm on Fridays).
