ROLE SUMMARY:

King’s College School, Latvia, part of the prestigious Inspired Education Group, is seeking an exceptional Middle School Teacher to join our team for the 2026–2027 academic year.

This is an incredible opportunity for a passionate and flexible educator to instruct English and Humanities, with the possibility of also teaching Physical Education across the middle school curriculum. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Deliver captivating and high-quality lessons in English and Humanities, fostering strong literacy, analytical skills, and effective communication.


Teach elements of Physical Education (when applicable), promoting teamwork, resilience, and healthy lifestyles.


Design and implement interdisciplinary units that connect literature, history, geography, and social studies to real-world situations.


Monitor, evaluate, and report on student progress, providing timely feedback and tailored support.


Contribute to the development and improvement of the middle school curriculum and enrichment activities.


Encourage participation in extracurricular activities, school events, and opportunities for student leadership.


Collaborate with colleagues to support student well-being and cultivate a positive, inclusive school environment.


Utilize digital tools and platforms to enhance teaching, assessment, and student engagement.


Engage with the broader school community through events, workshops, and initiatives designed to involve parents.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


A degree in English, Humanities, Education, or a related discipline, along with a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).


Proven experience teaching English and Humanities at the middle school level; experience in PE is an asset.


Strong subject knowledge and a passion for fostering literacy, critical thinking, and global awareness.


The ability to deliver engaging, student-centered lessons that resonate with a diverse range of learners.


A commitment to promoting both academic achievement and student well-being.


Confidence in incorporating technology into lessons to create interactive and engaging learning environments.


A collaborative mindset and a willingness to contribute to the school’s culture of innovation, excellence, and holistic education.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
