The Kee Tas Kee Now Tribal Council Education Authority (KTCEA) oversees five schools and an outreach program serving four First Nation communities in Northern Alberta. Founded by the vision of KTC leadership and Elders, KTCEA aims to create a safe and high-quality educational environment crafted by Cree individuals for the benefit of Cree students. Our educational programs are designed to honor the unique Cree Language and Identity of the KTC Nations. Our dedicated team supports learners from Kindergarten through Grade 12.
Position: Teacher
Annual Salary: $69,477.00 to $109,390.00, depending on Education/Experience

Job Description:
In this position, you will work under the guidance of the School Principal to plan and implement classroom instruction that adheres to the standards established by Alberta Education and KTCEA.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Education from an accredited university, with prior teaching experience being advantageous.
- A current Alberta Teaching Certificate.
- Proficiency in Cree is desirable.
- A comprehensive understanding of First Nations culture, organizations, and communities.
- Capability to fulfill Alberta Education’s Teacher Quality Standard.
- Familiarity with the relevant curriculum.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in land-based education settings is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applicable software.

A Criminal Record Check from the RCMP/Police, including a Vulnerable Sector and Child Welfare Intervention Record Check (formerly known as Child Welfare Check, CWIS), is required to be submitted before the commencement of employment.
