Job Description - Primary Teacher

In this role, you will deliver engaging instruction that meets high learning standards, nurturing articulate, confident, and compassionate students.

You will integrate the attributes of the school’s learner profile into your lesson planning.

You will demonstrate the school's ethos, objectives, and policies by serving as a professional role model in the classroom and during your interactions with students, colleagues, parents, and the wider community.

Duties and responsibilities:

Outlined below are the specific responsibilities associated with this teaching position under the guidance of the Senior Leadership Team.

• You will take full responsibility as the class teacher in line with school policies and standards, ensuring every child has access to the entire curriculum.
• A solid understanding of the National Curriculum for England relevant to your key stage, along with familiarity with adjacent stages (e.g., Key Stage 1 teachers should be knowledgeable about the Early Years Framework and Key Stage 2 requirements), is essential. The candidate must also be prepared to adapt the curriculum for an international context.
• You will accompany your class to external sports events or other activities that may take place after school or on weekends.
• Incorporate principles of global citizenship, intercultural education, and local context into your teaching practice.
• Plan engaging, differentiated lessons for all students in accordance with school policy to ensure they meet or exceed expected progress.
• Regularly and consistently assess student learning, keep detailed records, and adjust plans as necessary based on these assessments.
• Utilize various teaching strategies to address the diverse needs of learners.
• Engage parents in their children's education through newsletters, regular meetings, assemblies, reports, and informal conversations; you will also organize and lead a minimum of two class assemblies each year.
• Create a dynamic, interactive learning environment that encourages student independence.
