Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Inclusion Lead to join our team starting in August 2026.

In this essential position, the Inclusion Lead will be tasked with developing and implementing the school’s Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provisions, ensuring that students with varying learning needs receive the support required for academic, social, and emotional success.

The successful candidate will lead the planning and execution of inclusive educational strategies, manage early intervention programs, and collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure that all students are empowered to achieve their fullest potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement tailored special needs education for students with diverse requirements.

• Develop early intervention programs aimed at enhancing functional skills and facilitating a smooth transition to adulthood.

• Create and implement a detailed curriculum focused on essential developmental tasks for young students with SEN, covering areas such as Gross Motor Skills, Fine Motor Skills, Language Development, Functional Language, Social Language, Semantics, Letter Recognition, and Mathematical Skills.

• Monitor children's behavioral trends and coordinate appropriate interventions as needed.

• Effectively manage classroom crises and resolve conflicts.

• Provide coaching and mentorship to other professionals working with children with disabilities.

• Collaborate with support staff, including school counselors and teachers, to design comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Partner with the admissions team to assess needs throughout the admission process.

• Communicate with parents and offer guidance regarding their child’s needs.

Skills and Competencies

• SEND Expertise: Extensive knowledge of special educational needs, inclusive practices, and differentiated learning techniques.

• Leadership Skills: Ability to guide and support teachers in implementing inclusive classroom practices.

• Early Intervention: Demonstrated experience in designing intervention programs that address developmental and educational needs.

• Behaviour Management: Proficiency in identifying behavioral patterns and implementing effective support measures.

• Collaboration: Capacity to work effectively with teachers, counselors, parents, and support staff.

• Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, staff, and families.

• Analytical Skills: Ability to evaluate student needs, analyze progress, and develop impactful intervention strategies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Special Education / SEND or a related field.

• Relevant and recognized qualification in SEND.

• A minimum of 10 years of overall experience in the education sector.

• At least 2 years in an Inclusion Lead or similar leadership role.

• Experience in an international or British curriculum school setting is preferred.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
