Job Overview: Founded in 2015, Anne Hill International is committed to offering global education for children aged 2-13, with plans to expand our programs by establishing a secondary school campus in the near future. Our mission is to provide accessible, high-quality international education, while our vision is to nurture well-rounded, globally aware, lifelong learners.

At present, our school accommodates around 350 students from 30 different countries, supported by a dedicated team of 30 educators, who reflect a diverse range of backgrounds.

The new secondary school campus is scheduled to open in August 2026, featuring a curriculum that will include the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) and Cambridge Lower Secondary, culminating in the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). Our institution is affiliated with the Council of International Schools (CIS).

Role Responsibilities

We are in search of a Teacher of ICT for Year 1 to Year 9, who can initiate and cultivate new programs within an expanding curriculum. The curriculum adheres to the English National Curriculum through the Purple Mash scheme (Y1 - Y6) and Cambridge Lower Secondary (Y7 - Y9). While familiarity with this specific program is beneficial, it is not mandatory.

All educators are required to engage with the pastoral/homeroom curriculum and participate in after-school activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Subject Teachers will be responsible for the academic growth and pastoral care of their students, in alignment with the school’s Guiding Statements, curriculum, and policies.

1. Set high standards that inspire and motivate students.

• Create a secure, positive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages students to take risks in their learning and boosts their confidence.

• Develop lessons with explicit objectives that encourage active participation, independence, teamwork, and interdisciplinary connections.

• Maintain high expectations by fostering strong relationships and inclusive practices.

2. Promote continuous progress and achievement for all students.

• Understand the needs of students to tailor learning experiences, utilizing curriculum sequencing and prior knowledge to drive growth.

• Encourage students to reflect, take responsibility, and engage in conscientious independent study.

3. Demonstrate strong subject and curriculum knowledge.

• Design learning experiences that reinforce concepts, stimulate curiosity, and challenge students.

• Continuously expand professional knowledge through ongoing development, applying insights to classroom practices, particularly in literacy, numeracy, and the importance of scholarship.

4. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons.

• Create and implement captivating lessons that address diverse learner needs, including clear objectives, constructive feedback, and evidence-based strategies for promoting progress.

• Build positive relationships in the classroom and work together with colleagues to ensure a consistent, student-centered approach that supports both academic and emotional well-being.

5. Adapt teaching to meet the strengths and needs of students.

• Collaborate with students to set clear, meaningful goals and modify lessons to fit individual requirements using various strategies such as differentiation, questioning, active learning, and technology.

• Use assessment, feedback, and reflection to inform teaching practices, support progress, and foster an inclusive environment where all students feel valued and challenged.

6. Use assessment effectively and efficiently.

• Regularly evaluate student learning through varied methods, providing clear feedback to drive improvement and growth.

• Consistently utilize assessment data to guide teaching, influence planning, and ensure all students achieve their maximum potential.

7. Ensure high standards of provision.

• Communicate effectively with parents by offering clear feedback and guidance.

• Prepare and utilize resources that align with student needs, engaging support staff in lesson planning and instruction.

• Manage time effectively and carry out academic reporting diligently through updates, reports, and parent meetings to provide an accurate representation of student progress.

Qualifications and Experience

• A University/College degree, preferably in the subject area being taught.

• PGCE or an equivalent teaching certification.

• At least three years of relevant experience (preferred but not mandatory).

• Proven success in supporting students from diverse cultural backgrounds and those with additional needs (e.g., English as an Additional Language and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
