About This Role

NIST is on the lookout for an enthusiastic, collaborative educator to become part of our Dutch team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Elementary Programme and hold a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education or an equivalent qualification. This position presents a wonderful opportunity to engage with the NIST academic community, offering a 45% teaching load along with a competitive salary. Candidates with applicable experience may also have the chance to take on additional substitute teaching roles if they choose.

Qualifications:

  • A teaching certification (B.Ed. or M.Ed., required to obtain a teaching license in Thailand)
  • Experience teaching Dutch, along with a qualification in the Dutch Language
  • Strong preference for candidates with a background in elementary Dutch instruction
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team setting
  • Exceptional communication skills

Professional Expectations:

  • Create and deliver lessons using a variety of teaching strategies in a collaborative professional environment
  • Employ an engaging and interactive style for lesson presentation
  • Meet individual student needs by differentiating instruction to accommodate various abilities
  • Demonstrate an understanding of teaching both receptive and productive text content
  • Engage in extra-curricular activities related to language, literature, or culture
  • Implement positive behavior management strategies (ADD) and cultivate a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the NIST Child Safeguarding Code of Conduct and the NIST Professional Code of Conduct
