About This Role

Houseparent (with potential for additional responsibilities in boarding for the right candidate)

Salary: £27,900 per annum + furnished accommodation
Contract: Permanent, term-time only (with some administrative tasks during holidays such as responding to parent inquiries and ensuring the boarding house is prepared for students' return)
Location: Elmhurst Ballet School, Birmingham

Elmhurst Ballet School, in partnership with Birmingham Royal Ballet, is a prestigious institution dedicated to the training and education of talented, passionate young ballet dancers. We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and highly organized Houseparent to become a vital member of our Pastoral Team. This is a distinctive chance to significantly impact the well-being, growth, and daily experiences of young individuals living away from home while pursuing elite vocational training.

The Houseparent will oversee a Boarding House, supported by a Deputy Houseparent, and will work under the guidance of a member of the pastoral middle leadership team. For the right individual, there is an opportunity to take on additional responsibilities within the boarding team as the role evolves.

Candidates should possess demonstrated leadership abilities, outstanding organizational skills, and experience in a boarding context. We are looking for a highly motivated person who remains composed and professional, and who is dedicated to actively contributing to the school community.

This role includes year-round furnished accommodation, allowing for an immersive experience at the core of our boarding community.
