Head of Learning Support
About This Role
Brighton College Bangkok Vibhavadi is on the lookout for an inspiring Head of Learning Support to join our team starting in August 2025. This pivotal role will oversee all facets of the learning support department as we strive to establish ourselves as one of the leading all-through schools in the region, catering to students from Pre-Nursery to Year 13.
This position provides an exceptional opportunity for an educational leader to manage the school’s learning support services. The selected individual will play a key role in ensuring that our educational offerings reflect Brighton College’s commitment to creating a world-class academic environment, characterized by a unique identity rooted in the Brighton ethos. Candidates should possess the passion, expertise, and ambition necessary to cultivate an inclusive learning atmosphere that empowers every student to achieve their fullest potential.
Brighton College Bangkok Vibhavadi will be the second Brighton College institution in Bangkok. The first, Brighton College Bangkok, commenced operations in Krungthep Kreetha in 2016 and was honored as ‘International School of the Year’ at the esteemed International School of the Year Awards in October 2024. In August 2025, Brighton College Bangkok Vibhavadi will open in brand new, state-of-the-art facilities, transitioning over 450 students from Pre-Nursery to Year 13 at St. Stephen’s International School into this new environment, at which point the school will adopt the name Brighton College Bangkok Vibhavadi. St. Stephen’s and Brighton College are closely aligned in their values, emphasizing an ‘East meets West’ approach and the cultivation of respectful leaders, which resonates with Brighton’s principles of kindness and social responsibility.
The appointed candidate will report to both the Head of Senior School and the Head of Prep School. They will be tasked with implementing a clear strategy to support students with special educational needs, including the creation of Individual Education Plans. Essential to this role will be the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all stakeholders involved in supporting our students, including parents, teachers, teaching assistants, educational psychologists, and admissions staff.
This role presents a significant professional opportunity for either existing Heads of Learning Support or those aspiring to step into this position. Experience in assessing students’ learning needs and managing exam access arrangements would be beneficial. The Head of Learning Support should also be excited about the prospects for collaboration among the Brighton sister schools. Like all teaching positions at Brighton College, the successful candidate will be committed to fostering well-educated, respectful, and inquisitive young individuals who are prepared to engage actively and positively with the world.
