Capital School Bahrain is seeking a vibrant and skilled Head of Early Years to elevate and manage our Early Years Foundation Stage programs.
This essential leadership role within the Primary phase is well-suited for an experienced EYFS leader or a proficient Early Years educator with significant leadership background, committed to providing outstanding early childhood education and promoting child development.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing both strategic and operational aspects of the EYFS (Nursery and Reception)
- Ensuring high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment practices that adhere to the EYFS Framework
- Leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Early Years curriculum
- Mentoring and supporting EYFS staff through coaching, guidance, and effective line management
- Monitoring student progress, wellbeing, and outcomes to build a strong foundation for learning
- Fostering positive relationships with parents and caregivers
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, welfare, and statutory regulations within Early Years
- Contributing to school-wide improvement objectives and leadership initiatives
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in Early Years
- Proven experience in teaching within the EYFS
- Previous experience as an EYFS Lead, Head of Early Years, or in a similar leadership role
- Comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS Framework and early childhood education practices
- Experience in leading teams and driving improvement initiatives
- A nurturing, child-centered approach combined with high expectations
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practices
