About This Role

Capital School Bahrain – British Curriculum International School

Capital School Bahrain is pleased to announce an opening for a Teacher of English to join our growing secondary team.

The successful applicant will be tasked with delivering English lessons at Key Stage 3 and IGCSE, focusing on providing high-quality instruction aimed at improving students' reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills. The ability to teach A-Level English Literature would be a significant asset as we expand our Sixth Form programs.

Key Responsibilities encompass:


Delivering outstanding English instruction to KS3 and IGCSE learners


Creating engaging, well-organized lessons that adhere to the English National Curriculum


Thoroughly preparing students for their IGCSE English Language and Literature assessments


Improving students' literacy, critical reading, and extended writing capabilities


Employing assessments to inform teaching and foster student growth


Maintaining high standards for behavior, effort, and academic performance


Collaborating with the English department and the broader school community

The ideal candidate will have:


Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a comparable qualification


Strong expertise in the subject of English


Demonstrated experience teaching KS3 and IGCSE English (essential)


Experience with A-Level English Literature (preferred)


Excellent classroom management abilities and effective teaching methods


A commitment to inclusive education and student welfare
