British International School Phuket (BISP) is a premier day and boarding institution catering to students aged 2-18 from the international community across the Asia-Pacific region.

We are in search of a vibrant and seasoned leader to become part of our team as Deputy Principal (Secondary). In line with our mission to inspire learning, foster wellbeing, and ignite passion, you will be instrumental in enhancing the pastoral care of our students and the Wellbeing curriculum. Experience at the Senior leadership level (or equivalent) is highly preferred.

This crucial leadership position emphasizes the promotion of student wellbeing and pastoral care while ensuring the effective functioning of the secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:
- Wellbeing Leadership: Supervise the Wellbeing Curriculum, spearhead wellbeing initiatives, and collaborate with staff to improve student pastoral care.
- Positive Behaviour Management: Foster a positive school culture by addressing behavioral concerns and recognizing student accomplishments.
- Pastoral Welfare: Work alongside leadership, tutors, and parents to maintain high standards in student welfare, engagement, and behavior.
- Student Leadership and Community Engagement: Direct student leadership programs, community service projects, and initiatives that amplify student voices.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee staff allocation for cover, duties, and invigilation, while assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Professional Leadership: Engage in staff development and school enhancement through active involvement in leadership meetings and initiatives.
- Facilities Management: Aid in the development and execution of school systems that support effective learning and wellbeing environments.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in educational leadership, ideally in a pastoral or wellbeing-oriented role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication capabilities to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A strong commitment to maintaining safeguarding practices and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
