About York House School
The journey of York House School began in 1932 at the corner of Granville and 28th, where seven pioneering women welcomed 17 students to the first school. Nearly a century later, thousands have discovered their unique paths at YHS, which has evolved into one of Canada’s foremost independent schools for girls. Currently, we educate around 700 students from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12. At York House School, our Vision is clear: we aim to see the world as it is and imagine its potential, creating transformative experiences for students empowered to shape the future.
