About This Role

We are looking to recruit an outstanding Assessment Coordinator (with Teaching Responsibilities) to join our team, either immediately or by August 2026. This individual will be instrumental in supporting the school’s Vision and Mission while upholding all policies, academic standards, and pastoral care within the Primary school.

1. Assessment Leadership

- Lead the development and implementation of the school’s assessment policies and procedures.

- Ensure that assessment practices comply with ADEK requirements, British curriculum standards, and external benchmarking criteria.

- Coordinate both internal and external assessments, including baseline, formative, summative, and standardized evaluations.

- Oversee the assessment calendar to guarantee that assessments are scheduled and administered effectively.

- Promote Assessment for Learning (AFL) strategies throughout the school.

2. Data Analysis and Reporting

- Collect, analyze, and interpret assessment data to track student progress and performance.

- Provide regular data reports to senior leadership and teaching staff.

- Support teachers in using data for instructional planning and differentiation.

- Identify achievement gaps and set priorities for interventions.

- Ensure compliance with ADEK data reporting requirements.

3. Curriculum and Standards Alignment

- Work alongside Heads of Department and teachers to ensure assessments are aligned with curriculum objectives and learning outcomes.

- Assist in creating common assessments, moderation processes, and grading standards.

- Lead internal moderation efforts to ensure assessment reliability and consistency.

4. Staff Training and Support

- Provide professional development for teachers on effective assessment strategies and data use.

- Help teachers develop high-quality assessments and rubrics.

- Encourage best practices in formative assessment and feedback.

5. ADEK Compliance

- Ensure that all assessment practices meet ADEK regulations and inspection standards.

- Support school leadership during ADEK inspections by supplying assessment evidence and documentation.

- Maintain accurate assessment records and documentation.

6. Teaching Responsibilities

- Teach assigned classes as per the school timetable.

- Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that adhere to the British curriculum.

- Utilize effective assessment strategies to promote student progress.

- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.

- Participate in planning, marking, reporting, and communication with parents.

Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

- A valid teaching certification, such as a B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent.

- A strong commitment to providing exceptional teaching and learning experiences.

- Extensive experience with the National Curriculum for England.

- Demonstrated skills in people development, leadership, and communication.

- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

- An IELTS score of at least 6 or an equivalent qualification may be required.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
*Estimated range based on regional data averages.
