About This Role

Design, organize, and deliver compelling Biology lessons that adhere to AS and A Level curriculum standards. Employ a diverse range of teaching methods, hands-on investigations, and technological tools to enrich the learning experience. Create and administer assessments (both formative and summative) to track student progress and better prepare them for examinations. Tailor instruction to address the varied needs of learners, including advanced students and those requiring extra assistance. Confirm that lessons are in line with curriculum specifications and examination board criteria. Engage in internal standardization and moderation activities. Maintain precise student records, grades, and reports. Enforce school policies relating to discipline, attendance, and safeguarding. Take part in departmental meetings, training sessions, and initiatives aimed at school improvement. Stay informed about advancements in Biology, teaching methods, and assessment strategies. Collaborate with fellow Science Department colleagues to develop work schemes and exchange effective teaching practices. Participate in extracurricular science activities, including clubs, competitions, or field trips. Support the overall progress and well-being of students, offering guidance on educational concerns. Ensure adherence to GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct at all times.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
