Academic Director – Special Need Education - Vin Nexus Center
About This Role
Academic Director – Vin Nexus Center
For the dedicated special education professional excited to craft an innovative curriculum framework tailored for special needs.
If you:
•
Are passionate about designing curricula that honor the distinct profiles of each learner, rather than expecting learners to conform.
•
Perceive curriculum as an evolving, comprehensive framework that enables students with special needs to flourish, not just cope.
•
Recognize that sustainable change relies on strong academic structures—clear guidelines, consistent expectations, and integrated support systems.
…then Vin Nexus Center might be the perfect place for you to make a meaningful impact.
Vin Nexus Center is a non-profit school for special needs, situated in Vietnam, founded by Vingroup, one of the largest corporations in the country, through its social enterprise sector. Our goal is to deliver world-class, evidence-based education to students with ASD, ADHD, SLD, mild ID, and developmental delays through customized curricula and personalized learning journeys. We are currently in search of an Academic Director to spearhead the educational foundation of this mission: the curriculum, classroom settings, and professional culture that will support our students throughout their learning experiences.
We are seeking an Academic Director who:
•
Possesses substantial experience in special education, typically spanning 7-10 years or more, with a solid track record in academic leadership, curriculum development, IEPs, and assessments for students with ASD, ID, and SLD.
•
Is motivated by the opportunity to establish a groundbreaking special education model that has yet to be fully realized in Vietnam, where curriculum, teaching methodologies, and assessments enhance the quality of special education.
•
Prioritizes student wellbeing and individuality, tailoring academic goals and support mechanisms to fit each learner’s pace and profile.
•
Thrives in collaboration with teachers, finding satisfaction in coaching, observing, and developing them into a cohesive team that embraces a shared educational philosophy for diverse learners.
In this position, you will:
•
Develop, implement, and continually evaluate the school's special education programs, including adapted curriculum frameworks, IEP designs, and assessment practices that align with our students’ needs.
•
Support teachers through role assignments, pedagogical coaching, classroom observations, constructive feedback, and structured professional development planning.
•
Ensure high-quality teaching and learning by setting clear academic expectations, creating assessment systems, and consistently monitoring student progress across the institution.
•
Work closely with the Clinical Services Director and therapeutic/intervention teams to effectively integrate therapeutic goals and strategies into classroom instruction, ensuring that students have a seamless learning experience.
What we offer:
•
A compensation package that acknowledges the importance of your role - competitive and reflective of your expertise, leadership, and the responsibility of shaping a new kind of special education institution.
•
A mission-driven environment where educators and clinicians come together with a common goal: to assist special needs learners in growing, belonging, and thriving over the long term.
•
A unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in developing a high-impact special education school model that can create lasting social value for children, families, and the wider educational community in Vietnam.
•
An avenue to grow as a leader and innovator, supported by Vingroup and Vinschool’s extensive educational network.
Further details regarding compensation and benefits will be shared during the interview process.
If you are ready to apply your expertise to create a transformative special education model in Vietnam, we invite you to join us at Vin Nexus Center and help establish a legacy that will redefine how children with special needs are educated, supported, and understood for years to come.
