Curriculum Overview

Doha British School adheres to the National Curriculum of England, tailored to incorporate Qatar’s culture, heritage, and values. The school facilitates a seamless learning journey from Early Years through to Sixth Form, merging academic excellence with robust pastoral care and a focus on personal development.

The DBS curriculum is crafted to be relevant, enriching, and demanding, integrating academic rigor with leadership skills, creativity, and global citizenship.

Candidates who are successful must possess:


A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent credential.


A validated teaching qualification such as a PGCE or QTS with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE should be accompanied by a subject-relevant bachelor’s degree).


Outstanding subject expertise, with significant experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.


Experience in teaching International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE, AS/A Level.


A proven history of delivering exceptional teaching and learning outcomes.


A strong dedication to enhancing the broader school community through extracurricular involvement.
