About This Role

Kosice International School (KEIS) is on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic IB PYP Physical Education Teacher to become part of our international educational community. The ideal candidate should have a fervor for physical literacy, student wellness, and inquiry-based learning in alignment with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).

At KEIS, Physical Education (PE) plays a significant role in our curriculum, fostering the holistic development of each child through movement, collaboration, personal challenges, and encouraging healthy, active lifestyles.

The Perfect Candidate Will:
● Possess a recognized teaching qualification

● Bring relevant experience in teaching Physical Education at the primary level

● Have familiarity with or a commitment to the principles and practices of the IB PYP, while continuously enhancing their understanding of inquiry-based and concept-driven learning approaches in PE

● Have a background working with students from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds, promoting an inclusive classroom atmosphere

● Advocate for physical literacy, teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive health and wellness attitudes among young learners

● Design, implement, and evaluate high-quality Physical Education lessons that align with the IB PYP

● Exhibit strong classroom management skills to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning space

● Show dedication to differentiating instruction to cater to the diverse needs of all students

● Collaborate effectively with homeroom teachers to support transdisciplinary learning

● Organize, coordinate, and lead school sports days and other sporting events

● Plan and conduct after-school sports activities and clubs

● Utilize technology in meaningful ways to enrich student inquiries in PE

● Be adaptable, cooperative, and eager to contribute to a dynamic and evolving school culture

● Participate in school-wide events, after-school activities, clubs, and collaborative meetings to enhance the school community

● Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents

● Uphold safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety policies

● Be a native-level English speaker or possess near-native fluency
