About This Role

Taejon Christian International School (TCIS), a prestigious international institution in Korea, is focused on delivering a supportive and stimulating educational experience rooted in the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). Our mission is to nurture students who thrive academically, socially, and emotionally while developing a global perspective.

We are currently in search of an Elementary School Student Affairs Coordinator to take on the role of Dean of Students. This position is centered on enhancing the well-being, behavior management, and comprehensive development of our elementary/primary school students in alignment with the IB PYP curriculum. The coordinator will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and the administration to cultivate a constructive school environment that encourages student success and personal growth.

Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- At least 2 years of experience in student affairs or similar roles within an educational context
- Understanding of the IB PYP philosophy and its practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families
- Capability to manage student behavior efficiently using restorative practices that adhere to school policies
- Strong organizational skills for overseeing programs related to student welfare, attendance tracking, counseling referrals, and extracurricular activities
- Problem-solving skills to proactively address student issues
