About This Role

The British International School of Charlotte is in search of a dedicated, vibrant, and innovative Early Years Teacher.

We invite applications from exceptional, self-driven, and contemplative educators who possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, alongside a dynamic combination of enthusiasm, experience, and a passion for teaching that embraces change and innovation.

About the Role
You will be responsible for setting high expectations for our students by designing engaging learning activities that align with our curriculum, which encompasses the International Early Years program and the English National Curriculum. Your goal will be to cultivate a learning environment where students can achieve their fullest potential. You will create a respectful classroom atmosphere that encourages learning through insightful questioning and meaningful discussions.

About Our School
Established in 2004, The British International School of Charlotte is a forward-thinking, rapidly growing independent private school located in the charming Ballantyne area of Charlotte, North Carolina. We aim to challenge and inspire children aged 18 months to 18 years through a creative combination of the English National Curriculum and the International Primary and Middle Years Curriculum, culminating in the International Baccalaureate Diploma. Our school enjoys proximity to Charlotte, with both mountains and coastline within a short drive, making it an ideal starting point to explore the diverse offerings of the US. As a multicultural community, we tailor learning experiences so every student can reach their ambitious aspirations.

About You
You will thrive in our dynamic international setting and possess a university degree, a recognized teaching qualification, and substantial teaching experience. You are committed and innovative, regularly reflecting on your teaching practices and student outcomes, and actively seeking and applying new ideas and methods to enhance the school's achievements. Eager to collaborate and share your specialized knowledge, you will represent the school effectively. You will communicate confidently with various audiences and leverage your expertise to forge strong relationships with parents and students. Additionally, you must meet visa requirements for the United States (The Americas Region), including having British or American Citizenship or authorization to work in the USA, along with Qualified Teacher Status from the UK.
