About This Role
Arabic as a Foreign Language (AFL) & Islamic Studies Teacher
The Hamilton International School is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Arabic as a Foreign Language (AFL) & Islamic Studies Teacher to become a part of our vibrant international community. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional lessons in Arabic and Islamic Studies, foster cultural appreciation and values, and assist students of all backgrounds in reaching their maximum potential.
What You Will Do
•
Instruct AFL at Secondary levels and teach Islamic Studies in accordance with MoEHE guidelines.
•
Design and conduct captivating, inclusive lessons that enhance language skills, cultural identity, and Islamic principles.
•
Utilize assessments effectively to track student progress and guide instructional practices.
•
Tailor teaching strategies to accommodate a variety of learning needs.
•
Foster positive relationships with students and their families.
•
Participate in curriculum development and engage in broader school activities.
•
Maintain safeguarding and uphold professional standards.
What We’re Looking For
•
Bachelor’s Degree in English Language.
•
Teaching certification recognized by Qatar MoEHE.
•
Fluent Arabic speaker with proficient English skills.
•
At least 3 years of teaching experience in AFL and/or Islamic Studies.
•
Familiarity with IB Arabic B / Ab Initio is a plus, but not mandatory.
•
Experience in international school environments is preferred.
