The English College, Dubai, is in search of a dynamic, reflective, and inspiring Head of Faculty - Islamic to lead the Islamic Faculty and the Secondary School starting August 2026. The ideal candidate will possess a growth mindset and maintain high expectations for both staff and students. With a proud legacy spanning 33 years, The English College is one of the oldest educational institutions in Dubai. This independent, co-educational school follows the British curriculum from Early Years Foundation Stage through to Year 13 and is conveniently located off Sheikh Zayed Road in the heart of Dubai. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, highly qualified, and dedicated, possessing a strong track record. Candidates should demonstrate a creative approach to teaching and possess the ability to inspire and motivate students with diverse talents and abilities. Additionally, candidates must have the necessary skills and vision to uphold high expectations for all students, utilizing data to address the needs of every learner and providing appropriate challenges and support as needed. A willingness to teach Islamic studies up to A level is essential, along with the desire to teach other science subjects to Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4.

Successful applicants will:
- Be honest, transparent, and possess integrity.
- Hold a good honours degree.
- Have a QTS or PGCE teaching qualification, ideally from the UK.
- Have at least two years of teaching experience.
- Be able to provide an ICPC and a UK enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.
- Present professionally in both appearance and conduct.
- Be willing to contribute to the wider curriculum and support the school's vision.
