About This Role

Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

32.5 hours per week - term time only (38 weeks p.a)

Pay scale H3 - Actual salary from £19,312

Required for 1 September 2026

The Bishop’s Stortford High School has an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and conscientious colleague to join our expanding Learning Support Department and be part of our highly effective SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) team supporting learning for students up to and including ‘A’ Level, with a variety of individual needs including one-to-one, small group and whole-class support. This is a great opportunity to gain experience working in education and offers the scope to work towards becoming a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant.

    The Bishop’s Stortford High School is a popular, oversubscribed 6FE school of 1260 students, providing a single-sex education for boys in Years 7 to 11 with a thriving mixed sixth form of close to 400 students, including 130 female students. This is a very exciting time to be joining our Outstanding school, as we relocated to a brand-new state-of-the-art school, in September 2024, on a large site less than a mile from our previous location.
