About This Role
Skills and Experience Required
We are seeking a classroom teacher who demonstrates the following:
Teaching and Learning
- Experience of delivering high-quality teaching in a primary setting, with secure subject and curriculum knowledge
- Ability to plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons that maintain pace and challenge
- A strong understanding of how to promote pupil progress and achievement for all learners
- High expectations for both learning and behaviour
Inclusion and Pupil Support

Experience of adapting teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and additional needs -
Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel supported and able to succeed -
Understanding of how to identify barriers to learning and provide targeted support
Assessment and Progress

Experience of using assessment effectively to inform teaching and learning -
Ability to track pupil progress and identify next steps -
Confidence in providing clear, constructive feedback to support improvement
Behaviour and Classroom Management

Strong behaviour management skills, including the ability to establish clear routines and expectations -
Ability to create a calm, safe and purposeful learning environment -
Experience of promoting positive relationships and consistent standards of conduct
Professional Collaboration

Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and external agencies -
Ability to communicate effectively with parents and carers -
Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school, including events and extracurricular activities
Professional Development and Reflection

Commitment to continuous professional development and improving practice -
Ability to reflect on teaching and respond positively to feedback -
Awareness of current educational research and developments
