About This Role

International School Ecole d'Humanité, situated in the stunning Swiss Alps, is an innovative boarding institution dedicated to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and global citizenship. We are seeking a committed Theater & English Teacher to join our team as a Theater Director and English Teacher, as well as fulfill Housemaster/Housemistress/Boarding Supervisor responsibilities. This unique role combines teaching Advanced Placement courses with engagement in residential life, creating a dynamic environment for both students and faculty.

Position: Theater & English Teacher / Housemaster or Housemistress
Location: Switzerland
Curriculum: Advanced Placement (AP)
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree

The key duties of this position include directing theater productions, teaching English, supervising student boarding houses, supporting students’ personal growth outside of academic hours, and actively contributing to the lively community at Ecole d'Humanité.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Theater Arts, English Literature, or a related discipline
- Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
- Ability to effectively instruct Advanced Placement level content
- Willingness to undertake residential supervision roles, including evening and weekend shifts
- Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities and boarding house functions
- A genuine passion for working with adolescents from diverse cultural backgrounds
