Aldar Education is seeking a remarkable Teacher of Science (Secondary School) to become part of Muna British Academy in Abu Dhabi, commencing in the 2026–2027 academic year.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching and Learning
- Exhibit extensive knowledge of the science curriculum, delivering high-quality instruction across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, including GCSE, A Level, and BTEC pathways as required.
- Teach the science subjects of biology, chemistry, and physics at Key Stage 3, with the ability to specialize in a particular subject area at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 when necessary.
- Conduct engaging and well-structured lessons that enhance students’ scientific understanding, investigative skills, critical thinking, and knowledge of real-world scientific applications.
- Develop and implement schemes of work that comply with the UK National Curriculum at KS3 and fulfill the requirements of examination boards at KS4 and KS5.
- Prepare students effectively for external qualifications such as (I)GCSE, A Level, and BTEC science qualifications.
- Promote scientific exploration through hands-on investigations, experiments, observations, and data analysis.
- Provide quality guidance and feedback during coursework and practical assessments to ensure students meet examination standards.
- Design lessons and learning sequences tailored to the needs of all learners, ensuring appropriate levels of challenge and support across diverse ability ranges.
- Utilize assessment to track student progress, inform planning, and assist students in achieving their full potential.
- Encourage students’ independence, resilience, and problem-solving abilities through practical and investigative learning experiences.
- Ensure that laboratories and science classrooms are organized and that resources and displays contribute to a stimulating and safe educational environment.
- Maintain high standards of laboratory safety, ensuring students follow safe practices during practical investigations and while using scientific equipment.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including digital technology and blended learning approaches, to boost student engagement and progress.
- Address the needs of all learners, including POD (SEN), EAL, and G&T students, through effective differentiation and inclusive teaching techniques.
- Contribute to curriculum development within the science department, ensuring the curriculum remains engaging, rigorous, and aligned with the latest advancements in science education and industry trends.
Assessment, Progress, and Achievement
- Assess and evaluate student progress using data to inform instructional practices and identify students in need of extra support or challenge.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic progress and areas for improvement.
