KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide engaging and effective Science instruction that aligns with the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and other international curricula.
• Create and implement stimulating lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, using modern teaching techniques and technology.
• Evaluate student progress through both formative and summative assessments to uphold high academic standards.
• Provide pastoral support to enhance student well-being, collaborating with the school's well-being team.
• Encourage student involvement in extra-curricular activities, cultural events, and STEM programs.
• Contribute to curriculum development and initiatives aimed at enhancing school performance.
• Cultivate a positive classroom environment with high standards for behavior and discipline.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and support each other's professional growth.
• Maintain consistent communication with parents and stakeholders regarding student progress.
• Stay updated on educational advancements and engage in continuous professional development.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A relevant degree in Science or a related field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) along with a valid teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Science, ideally with knowledge of the IB curriculum (IBDP) or other international programs.
• The ability to inspire and engage students, fostering a passion for scientific inquiry and exploration.
• Strong skills in differentiating instruction to accommodate the needs of diverse learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Experience using technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the educational experience.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development.
• A solid understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices.
