KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide engaging and effective Science instruction that aligns with the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and other international curricula.
- Create and implement stimulating lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, using modern teaching techniques and technology.
- Evaluate student progress through both formative and summative assessments to uphold high academic standards.
- Provide pastoral support to enhance student well-being, collaborating with the school's well-being team.
- Encourage student involvement in extra-curricular activities, cultural events, and STEM programs.
- Contribute to curriculum development and initiatives aimed at enhancing school performance.
- Cultivate a positive classroom environment with high standards for behavior and discipline.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and support each other's professional growth.
- Maintain consistent communication with parents and stakeholders regarding student progress.
- Stay updated on educational advancements and engage in continuous professional development.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A relevant degree in Science or a related field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) along with a valid teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Science, ideally with knowledge of the IB curriculum (IBDP) or other international programs.
- The ability to inspire and engage students, fostering a passion for scientific inquiry and exploration.
- Strong skills in differentiating instruction to accommodate the needs of diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Experience using technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the educational experience.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
- A solid understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices.
