About This Role

GEMS Al Barsha National School is seeking an outstanding and passionate Physics Teacher to join our dedicated team in August 2026. As an English Teacher at GEMS Al Barsha National School, you will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that build a deep appreciation for the English language and literature. You will guide students in developing their reading, writing, and analytical skills, ensuring that all learners reach their full academic potential. Beyond the classroom, you will actively engage with the wider school community by participating in co-curricular activities, school events, and ongoing curriculum development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, prepare, and deliver outstanding Physics lessons that excite and engage students of all abilities.
  • Foster a love for reading, writing, and communication through innovative and meaningful learning experiences.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress, using data to inform planning and differentiation.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports every learner and promotes academic excellence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative curricula and share best practices.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and achievements.
  • Attend departmental meetings, partake in professional development, and get involved in co-curricular initiatives.
  • Consistently reflect GEMS Education’s Core Values and the principles of Al Barsha National School.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through events, performances, and enrichment activities.

Qualifications & Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physics or a related field, along with a recognized teaching qualification/license (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Competence in ICT and digital tools to enhance the teaching and learning process.

  • A creative and effective classroom practitioner with a genuine enthusiasm for Physics and high expectations for student success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Experience

  • A minimum of two years of teaching experience in English, ideally within the National Curriculum for England.
  • Experience in an international or culturally diverse setting is advantageous.
