KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Spanish and French, aligned with the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and other international curricula.
• Create and implement lively lessons that cater to various learning styles, employing modern teaching strategies and technology.
• Evaluate student progress through both formative and summative assessments, ensuring high academic standards are upheld.
• Provide pastoral support to enhance student well-being, collaborating closely with the school’s well-being team.
• Inspire student involvement in extracurricular activities, cultural events, and language-related projects.
• Contribute to curriculum development and participate in school improvement initiatives.
• Cultivate a nurturing classroom atmosphere with high expectations for behavior and discipline.
• Collaborate with peers to share best practices and facilitate professional development goals.
• Maintain communication with parents and stakeholders through regular updates on student progress.
• Stay current with educational advancements and engage in ongoing professional development.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A relevant degree in Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish and French) or a related discipline, along with a valid teaching certification.
• Experience teaching Spanish and French at the secondary level, ideally with familiarity with the IB curriculum (IBDP) or other international programs.
• The ability to inspire and engage students, fostering a love for languages and cultures.
• Strong skills in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Experience in leveraging technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.
• A commitment to continuous professional development.
• A solid understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices.
