About This Role

The States of Guernsey are in search of a Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages and PSHE to become a valuable member of the team at St Anne's School in Alderney.

St Anne’s School is looking for an outstanding and seasoned educator in Modern Foreign Languages and PSHE to strengthen our educational team.

Our federation comprises three 11-16 High Schools, the Guernsey Grammar School & Sixth Form Centre (11-18), and St Anne's School in Alderney, all operating under the leadership of the Director of Education.

The perfect candidate will exhibit a true passion for promoting student success through innovative approaches that build upon effective teaching practices. A high degree of expertise in teaching and learning is essential for this role. Responsibilities include working alongside a team committed to identifying, supporting, and crafting personalized opportunities for students, while also implementing the new Bailiwick Curriculum, which includes various international and UK qualifications. We anticipate our staff to actively engage in the school’s ethos, identity, and community life, participating fully in the diverse enrichment activities provided. The chosen individual will be committed to the progress and development of St Anne's School.

St. Anne's School is unique in the Bailiwick of Guernsey, functioning as a singular all-through institution that serves one island with a single school. We educate children from ages 3 to 16, featuring a Foundation 1 Class (Pre-school) for children starting at age 3, offering 15 hours of FREE provision (9.00-12.00) Monday through Friday, seamlessly transitioning into our respected Reception Class. As a fully inclusive school, we also cater to students with Complex Needs, and class compositions vary greatly from year to year.
