About This Role
Chigwell School is on the lookout for a highly qualified, passionate, and eager Teacher of Mathematics to join our successful Maths Department as the Second in Mathematics. This is a full-time, permanent role that presents an excellent opportunity for a remarkable educator aiming for increased responsibility and leadership within a distinguished independent school.
The position entails assisting the Head of Mathematics in leading and advancing the department while maintaining exceptional teaching and learning standards across all key stages. The successful applicant will be involved in curriculum development, assessment, and departmental initiatives, instructing Mathematics from KS3 to KS5, and fostering enrichment activities that motivate students. Additionally, they will engage actively in the pastoral and broader co-curricular aspects of school life.
The preferred candidate will be a dedicated and enthusiastic Mathematician with robust subject expertise and a genuine passion for teaching. The school is looking for someone who either possesses leadership experience or is eager to embrace such responsibilities and is enthusiastic about contributing to the wider school community.
