THE ROLE
In this role, the teacher will:
- Provide effective instruction and manage the classroom environment to ensure objectives are met, monitor progress, and utilize teaching time efficiently.
- Utilize engaging teaching methods that ignite students’ intellectual curiosity through effective questioning, clear presentations, and resourceful approaches.
- Set high expectations for student behavior and maintain effective behavior management in accordance with school policies.
- Teach A Level Maths, with the ability to instruct Further Maths being a significant advantage.
As a Maths Teacher, your duties will comprise:
- Leading initiatives to boost student participation and enhance school spirit.
- Supporting extracurricular activities and school events.
- Fostering parental engagement through effective communication and updates regarding student progress.
- Delivering inclusive, dynamic, and impactful lessons.
- Encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and design thinking.
- Implementing data-driven strategies to cater to diverse learning requirements.
- Incorporating digital tools to elevate the educational experience.
- Serving as a Form Tutor and contributing to the IB curriculum.
- Designing and implementing curriculum-aligned lesson plans.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and providing timely feedback.
- Participating in curriculum development and quality assurance efforts.
- Engaging in continuous professional development.
- Reflecting on teaching practices to improve effectiveness.
- Embodying the school’s values and promoting a positive school culture.
The Successful Candidate will possess:
- An accredited teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, HDipEd, or equivalent).
- A current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries of residence.
- Compliance with visa requirements for employment.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare, along with a willingness to engage in relevant child protection training as required.
