THE ROLE

In this role, the teacher will:

  • Provide effective instruction and manage the classroom environment to ensure objectives are met, monitor progress, and utilize teaching time efficiently.
  • Utilize engaging teaching methods that ignite students’ intellectual curiosity through effective questioning, clear presentations, and resourceful approaches.
  • Set high expectations for student behavior and maintain effective behavior management in accordance with school policies.
  • Teach A Level Maths, with the ability to instruct Further Maths being a significant advantage.

As a Maths Teacher, your duties will comprise:

  • Leading initiatives to boost student participation and enhance school spirit.
  • Supporting extracurricular activities and school events.
  • Fostering parental engagement through effective communication and updates regarding student progress.
  • Delivering inclusive, dynamic, and impactful lessons.
  • Encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and design thinking.
  • Implementing data-driven strategies to cater to diverse learning requirements.
  • Incorporating digital tools to elevate the educational experience.
  • Serving as a Form Tutor and contributing to the IB curriculum.
  • Designing and implementing curriculum-aligned lesson plans.
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and providing timely feedback.
  • Participating in curriculum development and quality assurance efforts.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development.
  • Reflecting on teaching practices to improve effectiveness.
  • Embodying the school’s values and promoting a positive school culture.

The Successful Candidate will possess:

  • An accredited teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, HDipEd, or equivalent).
  • A current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries of residence.
  • Compliance with visa requirements for employment.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare, along with a willingness to engage in relevant child protection training as required.
