Teacher of Mathematics - August 2026

GEMS Al Barsha National School is seeking a passionate and committed Mathematics Teacher to join our dedicated team starting in August 2026. In your role as a Mathematics Teacher at GEMS Al Barsha National School, you will design and deliver captivating lessons that foster a deep appreciation for mathematics among students. You will play a crucial role in helping students develop solid analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, ensuring that each learner reaches their highest academic potential. In addition to classroom instruction, you will engage actively with the school community, participating in co-curricular activities, school events, and the continuous enhancement of the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and deliver exceptional Mathematics lessons that engage and inspire students across various ability levels.
• Foster a love for mathematics through innovative and impactful learning experiences.
• Track, assess, and report on student progress, using data to guide instructional planning and differentiation.
• Establish an inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners and promotes academic excellence.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create innovative curricula and share best teaching practices.
• Maintain open lines of communication with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and accomplishments.
• Participate in departmental meetings, professional development sessions, and co-curricular activities.
• Consistently reflect the Core Values of GEMS Education and the mission of Al Barsha National School.
• Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in events, performances, and enrichment programs.

Qualifications & Knowledge

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or a related discipline, along with a recognized teaching qualification/license (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• Strong expertise in the subject matter.
• Proficiency in ICT and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.

Experience

• At least two years of teaching experience in Mathematics, preferably within the National Curriculum for England.
