We are thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Teacher of Geography to become part of our dedicated team at Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA).
This is a full-time, permanent position set to commence in September 2026, with a salary aligned to the Teachers’ Main/Upper Pay Scale.

Main Purpose of the Role:
The successful candidate will undertake the professional responsibilities typical of all classroom teachers, as delineated in the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document. They will adhere to the Teachers’ Standards relevant to their career level and utilize professional discretion in performing their duties collaboratively.
The primary objective of this role is to ensure exceptional standards of teaching, learning, and achievement in Geography, facilitating strong progress for all students and helping them to realize their full potential. The individual will report to the Curriculum Leader, a Senior Leader, and ultimately to the Headteacher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster the academic progress, wellbeing, and positive behavior of every student.
- Design and deliver high-quality, inclusive Geography lessons.
- Contribute to the establishment of an ambitious Geography curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, applying timely interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Geography team to support the school’s vision.
- Reflect upon and enhance practice through professional development and shared knowledge.
- Assist with curriculum development, examinations, and school improvement initiatives.
- Engage in meetings, duties, and enrichment activities as required.
- Cultivate positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and external partners.
