About This Role
Network International School seeks to hire a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Teacher of English Literature and Language for its Secondary School, starting in August 2026. Please note that this position does not involve teaching English as a Second Language.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience with the English National Curriculum for English.
- Knowledge of teaching Cambridge IGCSE English Literature and IGCSE English First Language, as well as A Level Literature in English.
- A solid understanding of personalized learning, assessment, and feedback.
- A commitment to fostering the holistic development of students in a nurturing and enriched classroom atmosphere, alongside acting as a pastoral tutor.
- Engagement in the Extracurricular program.
- A readiness to participate in the House system, supporting their designated House and contributing to competitions and events.

About our curriculum:
In Key Stage Three, English lessons integrate the development of both Language and Literature skills, utilizing the UK National Curriculum as the foundation for the study program. Most of our students are entered for IGCSE First Language English and IGCSE Literature in English, with these courses taught in a combined manner during Years 10 and 11 following the Cambridge Syllabi. At AS and A Level, Literature in English is also available as an option using the Cambridge Syllabus.

The interview process consists of three stages:
- An interview with the Head of Secondary.
- A follow-up discussion regarding Teaching and Learning with the Deputy Head and the Head of English & Drama.
