About This Role

About the Role:
We are in search of a passionate and proficient English Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have experience with an English curriculum framework and a strong history of inspiring students in literature, language, and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, plan, and deliver engaging English lessons that correspond with the school's curriculum (e.g., IGCSE, A-Level, or other recognized international programs).

• Teach students in English language, literature, and writing across designated middle and/or high school grade levels.

• Enhance students' reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills through a variety of teaching methods.

• Assess and monitor student progress through both formative and summative evaluations, providing timely and constructive feedback.

• Engage in the school’s pastoral care system, which may include taking on responsibilities as a homeroom teacher or academic advisor.

• Maintain ongoing communication with parents regarding students' progress and classroom activities.

• Collaborate with the English department and interdisciplinary teams on curriculum development, resource sharing, and school-wide initiatives.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, English Education, Literature, or a related field.

• A valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, state license, or an equivalent international credential).

• A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in an international or bilingual educational setting.

• Knowledge of international English curricula, such as IGCSE and A-Level English.

• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive, engaging learning environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• A proven commitment to continuous professional development and student-centered teaching.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
*Estimated range based on regional data averages.
