We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Teacher of Economics and Business to join our team in August 2026, specifically someone with expertise in the IB curriculum.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide engaging and effective instruction in IB Business Management and Economics, in accordance with the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and other international curricula.
  • Create and implement stimulating lessons that cater to diverse learning needs, employing modern teaching strategies and technology.
  • Assess student progress through both formative and summative evaluations, maintaining high academic standards.
  • Offer pastoral support that promotes student well-being and collaborate with the school’s well-being team.
  • Encourage student involvement in extra-curricular activities, business-related initiatives, and community projects.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and initiatives focused on school improvement.
  • Cultivate a positive classroom environment with high standards of conduct and discipline.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support professional development goals.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and stakeholders regarding student progress.
  • Stay informed about educational developments and engage in ongoing professional development.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A relevant degree in Business, Economics, or a related field, along with a valid teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching IB Business Management and/or Economics (or comparable international programs).
  • The ability to inspire and engage students, fostering a passion for business and economic concepts.
  • Strong skills in differentiating instruction for diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Experience in using technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance educational experiences.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
  • A thorough understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
