To join our team in August 2026, we are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Design Technology, preferably with experience in teaching IB programmes (MYP and/or DP Design Technology). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver engaging lessons in Design Technology that align with the IB (MYP/DP) framework.
- Create innovative, hands-on lessons that develop technical, design, and problem-solving skills.
- Implement the IB design cycle and inquiry-based learning approaches.
- Ensure the safe and skilled use of tools, machinery, and materials.
- Assess student work using IB assessment criteria and provide constructive feedback.
- Support student well-being by actively participating in pastoral care.
- Encourage involvement in design competitions, clubs, and maker initiatives.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A relevant degree in Design Technology, Product Design, Engineering, or a related field.
- A recognized teaching qualification and experience in IB programmes (MYP and/or DP).
- Thorough practical knowledge of workshop tools, materials, and safety procedures.
- The ability to inspire creativity and innovative thinking in students.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM and digital design technologies.
- Strong differentiation skills to meet diverse learning needs.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
