St. George’s School is seeking a committed and talented professional to join our dynamic secondary department as a Drama teacher, beginning in August 2026.
The School
For almost four decades, St. George’s School has been a cornerstone of the international community in Cologne, merging a comprehensive curriculum with a family-oriented approach. From its humble beginnings, the school has grown into a vibrant community of approximately 800 students aged 2 to 18, representing over 50 nationalities.
We adhere to the National Curriculum throughout the institution and provide the IB Diploma in our Sixth Form.

The Location
St. George’s School is located on a newly constructed campus on the outskirts of Cologne, enjoying excellent transport links to the city center and the broader Cologne-Bonn region.
Cologne, the fourth largest city in Germany, is a bustling and culturally vibrant center, home to a large and diverse international population. Positioned in the heart of Europe, it boasts a high quality of life alongside numerous opportunities for travel and cultural engagement.
The school is conveniently situated just 20km from Cologne-Bonn airport, which offers numerous daily flights to the UK, and a high-speed train service connects Cologne to London via Brussels.
The Role
We are excited to find a qualified Drama teacher with a background in Music to join our well-established secondary school.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic educator with a proven ability to inspire students to achieve their full potential. We are looking for someone who combines experience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for teaching that will engage our students.
Fluency in English and familiarity with the English National Curriculum are required. A strong interest in enhancing the department's vibrant extra-curricular offerings will also be advantageous.
Due to the ongoing growth of the school, adaptability and a willingness to support colleagues are essential. A dedicated commitment to contributing to the school's rich pastoral and extra-curricular activities is also beneficial.
The Creative Arts Faculty encompasses three primary subjects: Music, Visual Arts, and Drama. This faculty aims to cultivate both a passion for creative pursuits and a thorough academic understanding of the forms and structures that underpin these activities.
