About This Role

Queen’s College, an esteemed international school based in Palma, is on the lookout for a committed and qualified Chemistry Teacher. Renowned for its academic excellence, our institution offers both the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and A Levels, drawing a diverse student body.

This role provides an exciting chance for a passionate educator, with the possibility of taking on Second in Department duties for the right candidate. You will join a dynamic and forward-thinking academic team within an environment that honors both tradition and contemporary teaching methodologies.

The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching Chemistry and an additional science at the IGCSE level, along with Chemistry for the IB Diploma, and may have the opportunity to teach A Level courses in the future. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative atmosphere that maintains high standards and a shared commitment to student success.

Person Specification:

• A good honours degree in Chemistry or a Science with Chemistry – Essential

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for secondary education – Essential

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a UK secondary school – Essential

• Proven track record of success with IGCSE and IB exam results – Essential

• Strong understanding of the English National Curriculum – Essential

• Experience in an international school setting – Desirable

• Right to work in the EU – Desirable but not essential

• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English – Essential
