Teacher of Chemistry
About This Role
The British International School, Cairo is seeking a dedicated and experienced Chemistry teacher with a solid understanding of the National Curriculum for England or similar British educational settings. The successful candidate will take on the responsibility of teaching Physics across the Senior School, including GCSE, IB, UK A-levels, and General Science for Key Stage 3. Previous experience with IB teaching would be advantageous. Our school is equipped with excellent facilities and resources specifically for Science education, and the Science Department works collaboratively to share ideas and enrich student learning.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related field
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, ideally with a focus on UK A-Level qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of the UK A-Level Chemistry curriculum
- Ability to design, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse student needs
- Strong classroom management skills
- Proficient in the use of educational technology and resources for teaching chemistry
- Exceptional communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues
