The British International School, Phuket, is a premier international day and boarding institution catering to students aged 2 to 18 years, committed to delivering exceptional educational experiences to the international community within the Asia/Pacific region.

We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic and dynamic swimming coach who excels in communication and has a passion for aquatic skills and lifelong learning. This role is dedicated to guiding swimmers from the foundational level to elite performance.

The Junior Development Swim Coach will play a vital role in the Sea Eagles Aquatics program, which provides a comprehensive pathway from Learn to Swim to a High-Performance Swim Team. Numerous swimmers in our program proudly represent their countries on the international stage at various levels.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and oversee the BISP swim development program, ensuring that lessons for children aged 2.5 years and older are enjoyable, informative, and of high quality.
- Maintain communication with parents regarding training schedules, event organization, athlete development, and swimmer evaluations.
- Work alongside the Learn to Swim Coordinator and Aquatics Director to aid in organizing meets and managing entries.
- Support student-athletes in reaching their academic and athletic potential while nurturing a positive and secure environment.
- Participate in weekly meetings, professional development days, swim meets, and other school-related events as needed.

Qualifications:
- Relevant swimming qualifications from a recognized swim organization.
- A minimum of 2 years of coaching experience, preferably within a school setting.
- Bachelor’s or Undergraduate Degree.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English.
- Current First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguard certifications.

Working Hours: This role requires a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week, including early mornings, Saturdays, and some weekends for swim meets and events. Flexibility is essential to cover staff absences.
