About This Role

Subject Teacher - MOE

Education: A Bachelor's Degree in the relevant subject area, or a Bachelor's degree in the subject (or a closely related discipline) + Valid teaching license OR Diploma teaching qualification

Primary Job Purpose:

Key Relationships (Internal and External)

Students, colleagues, parents, the school Principal, Heads of School, and the Senior Leadership team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Presenting a wide array of knowledge, understanding, and skills to enrich the students' learning experience.
  • Instilling through both example and instruction a profound respect for truth, justice, equality of opportunity, human rights, kindness, and compassion.
  • Motivating and inspiring students to achieve beyond their own expectations and previous accomplishments.
  • Applying strong subject knowledge combined with pedagogical and interpersonal skills to engage students and nurture a passion for learning.
  • Utilizing ICT and new technologies to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for students of all ages and achievement levels.
  • Crafting lessons that thoughtfully address students’ individual learning needs, styles, preferences, and abilities.
  • Encouraging and empowering all students to become effective, confident, and independent lifelong learners.
  • Building strong professional relationships with colleagues by contributing to the continuous improvement of the school.
  • Planning and delivering a variety of learning opportunities and activities to enhance the taught curriculum.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to establish and maintain fair and consistent disciplinary practices within the classroom, throughout the school, and during school trips, while actively safeguarding students from all forms of abuse, including bullying and corporal punishment.
  • Maintaining regular, professional communication with parents regarding their child's achievements and progress.
  • Upholding a high degree of confidentiality in discussions with parents and external parties.
  • Demonstrating academic integrity as a standard of good practice.
  • Actively engaging in department discussions during meetings.
  • Assisting in the planning and implementation of after-school activities as needed.
  • Supporting the school’s community partnerships by participating in school/community events, which may occasionally occur on weekends or evenings, such as school concerts.
  • Undertaking any other responsibilities appropriate for the role, as reasonably requested by management.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
