Brookes Moscow, a prestigious international school renowned for its extensive global educational influence, is inviting applications for the role of Sports Teacher. This position is instrumental in executing the school's comprehensive sports curriculum, which spans Primary, Upper, and Senior School levels.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Sports Teacher to join our team. In this crucial role, the Sports Teacher will be responsible for crafting and delivering stimulating and challenging sports lessons suited for students of varying ages and abilities. The successful candidate will have a profound love for sports and a commitment to developing and motivating young athletes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach Physical Education across all school divisions, promoting the growth of physical literacy, motor skills, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Develop curriculum units that emphasize fitness development, athletics, team sports, individual sports, movement skills, tactical awareness, and wellness education.
- Coach competitive school teams, prepare students for tournaments, and organize inter-house competitions.
- Ensure the safe use of sports facilities, equipment, gym areas, and outdoor spaces; conduct regular safety inspections.
- Work closely with the Director of Sports in planning for the season, organizing events, and overseeing extracurricular activities.
- Promote inclusivity by adapting activities for students with diverse physical or developmental requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of student health, fitness, and progress.
- Engage in school events and activities.
- Provide First Aid Assistance as needed; stay vigilant regarding safety in all environments.
- Actively participate in staff meetings and engage in In School Coaching.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Coaching, or a related discipline.
- Teaching certification is essential.
- Previous experience teaching PE in international or American-style schools is preferred.
- Coaching certifications in areas such as football, basketball, swimming, and athletics are beneficial.
- Solid understanding of safety protocols, basic first aid, and risk assessment.
- High energy, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Russian is an advantage.
- Strong safeguarding awareness and the ability to supervise large groups effectively.
