  • Support teachers in adapting learning to meet the needs of all pupils.

  • Monitor the progress and achievement of vulnerable groups.

  • Work closely with families to ensure children receive the support they need.

  • Support the school's commitment to ensuring all children can access a broad, balanced and enriching curriculum.

Pupil Premium

  • Work alongside the Headteacher to support the effective use of Pupil Premium funding.

  • Monitor the progress and achievement of disadvantaged pupils, particularly those who are also identified as having SEND.

  • Help identify barriers to learning and contribute to strategies that improve outcomes for disadvantaged children.

  • Support the evaluation of interventions and provision to ensure funding has maximum impact.

  • Contribute to reporting, monitoring and accountability processes relating to disadvantaged pupils.

Partnership with Parents and Carers

  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers.

  • Lead SEND review meetings and Annual Reviews.

  • Ensure parents and carers are fully involved in decisions relating to their child's education and support.

  • Act as a key point of contact for families regarding SEND provision.

Liaison with External Agencies

  • Work closely with educational psychologists, advisory teachers, speech and language therapists, health professionals and other relevant agencies.

  • Coordinate referrals and access to specialist support.

  • Support applications for Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments and additional SEND funding where appropriate.
