About This Role

The British School of Barcelona (BSB) is a distinguished institution nestled in a picturesque setting. Recognized as an HMC school, we have recently achieved exceptional ratings from a British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspection, excelling in key areas such as educational quality, safeguarding, student wellbeing, and academic outcomes.

BSB caters to a broad and diverse student body, ranging from ages 3 to 18. Our curriculum is closely aligned with the English National Curriculum, offering a comprehensive selection of GCSEs, A levels, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma, alongside a strong enrichment program.

With over 2,000 students hailing from more than 74 different nationalities, BSB employs a dedicated team of over 315 staff members across three campuses. We are thrilled to announce our plans for a new cutting-edge campus in Maresme, located east of Barcelona city, which is scheduled to open in 2026. This campus will initially serve students from Nursery to Year 6, expanding to Year 13 by 2028. The state-of-the-art facility will include modern classrooms, science labs, well-equipped music and art rooms, designated areas for play, social interaction, and study, as well as both indoor and outdoor sports facilities, all set against a stunning backdrop of mountains and coastline.

BSB has earned a solid reputation for delivering an outstanding student experience, as reflected in our academic successes and our commitment to character development and cultivating a global perspective. Our continuous pursuit of improvement is demonstrated by our focus on teacher development through active professional learning communities and reflective practices.

As we expand, we are eager to welcome an exceptional individual to our team. If you are interested in being part of something remarkable and advancing your career, we would be excited to hear from you.

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a part-time Primary Language Teacher (Spanish and Catalan) to join our outstanding team.
