We are currently looking for a Senior Vice Principal (Curriculum, Standards & Assessment) to join us in August 2026. The successful candidate will assume a vital leadership role in shaping and advancing the school's strategic direction concerning curriculum design, assessment systems, academic standards, and student outcomes across Early Years, Primary, Middle School, and High School.
As part of the Executive Leadership Team, the individual will act on behalf of the Principal/CEO when necessary and ensure that GIS offers a cohesive, rigorous, and forward-thinking curriculum that aligns with the IB continuum, KHDA expectations, CIS accreditation, and GEMS quality standards.
This position entails comprehensive responsibility for:
- Curriculum intent, design, and coherence across all educational phases
- Assessment strategies, systems, and reporting, including both internal and external benchmarking
- Academic standards, outcomes, and data integrity
- Accreditation, compliance, and alignment with inspection requirements
- Ensuring that the content taught, assessed, and reported is consistent, rigorous, and aligned with strategic priorities

Responsibilities Include:
- Providing strategic leadership for curriculum, assessment, and academic standards throughout the entire school.
- Acting as a deputy for the Principal/CEO when needed, representing GIS to internal and external stakeholders, including KHDA, IB, and accreditation agencies.
- Leading the development, implementation, and assessment of the School Development Plan (SDP), School Self-Evaluation Framework (SEF), and associated academic priorities.
- Collaborating closely with the Senior Vice Principal – Teaching & Learning to ensure a unified and coherent approach to academic excellence.
- Working in partnership with the Senior Vice Principal – Student Life & Culture to ensure curriculum and assessment systems foster inclusive, student-centered outcomes.
- Maintaining expert knowledge of KHDA/DSIB frameworks, IB programme standards and practices, and UAE National Agenda requirements.
